Ordering

When it comes to personal occasion or special event cakes we prefer to have at least 2 weeks notice of an order. There is flexibility depending on how busy the shop is. Please call for availability. For a Wedding / Quinceañera cake it's suggested you be on our books 6 months before your event. For Wedding / Quinceañera cakes and large catering orders we require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a date.

Please do not email urgent orders.  If you email an order, don’t assume it can be filled unless you receive a confirmation email or phone call.  We are a small shop and often get booked up, so please call ahead! 

Personal Occasion/Special Event Pricing Information

Because the range of what we do is so varied, an exact price list is impossible to publish.  When it comes to traditional cakes such as rounds, squares, or sheets, there is an initial charge for the cake and an art charge added depending on the amount of time involved.  Decorated cakes begin at $250.

Wedding / Quinceañera Cake Pricing Information

Wedding  and Quinceañera cakes start with a base price per person which includes a standard, smooth buttercream finish, appropriate borders, decorations, stacking and delivery. Anything added beyond the standard finish, such as rolled fondant or handmade flowers, would add to the base price. Because the design possibilities are endless, please call us for an accurate quote on your particular design.

General Information

Contrary to popular belief, the most expensive ingredient in creating our unique cake designs is Time. The actual cost of eggs, flour, water, oil and butter is nominal. Therefore at Cup a Dee Cakes, we base our product costs on our Time.

Due to copyright and licensing, we are unable to 'reproduce the image' of any licensed character. This includes Disney ® characters and movies, Looney Toons ® characters and the like.  We can, however, keep the spirit of your theme in mind, such as... a traditional cake with a licensed character candle, or...  a similar cake style that does not exactly match the character.

Other factors that affect the final cost:

Design: More unique and extravagant designs require more time, which can affect the final cost.   We base artwork at $30/per hour.  If the design requires less time than we estimated, we will absolutely adjust the price of your final cake.

All cakes over 100 servings include delivery and set-up within our normal delivery area. A per-mile charge is added for any wedding cake delivery outside of our delivery area.

Accessories: Some cakes require additional pieces, i.e. props or accessories, such as tiaras, toys, special candles, baby rattles, edible flowers, etc...

Special Flavors / Icings / Fillings: Standard buttercream frosting is included in the base price of the cake. Fondant and other types of frosting may be extra.
