Consultations and Times
We ask that all cakes over 100 servings have an initial cake consultation. This consultation may be as long or as short as you desire but usually lasts about one hour. At the consultation, we would be happy to review design ideas, provide samples for tasting and discuss any personal special requests. Most of our consultation appointments are Monday-Thursday at 10am and 6:00pm. Depending on our other commitments, we can possibly meet on Saturdays at Noon or before. Cakes - 99 Servings and Smaller
We are more than happy to service your event regardless of the cake size! For special event cakes that serve fewer than 99, a consultation is not included in the price. Normally we would design the cake with you over email and phone calls. We will be glad to meet with you, but there will be a $50 charge for the samples and our time. Please see the chart listed below. This charge is for the meeting and will not go toward the cake you may order. A credit card number will be asked for and charged at time of booking the appointment. Refunds will not be given if you fail to show up for the appointment. Delivery of the cake may be accommodated for a nominal fee for these smaller cakes. We can discuss this at the time of our meeting. If you just would like a sample, but no meeting, they will be $10/each.

Samples

Cakes for 50 servings or less can choose one flavor combination per cake*
        *(With the $50 paid consultation fee)
Cakes for 51-99 servings can choose two flavor combinations per cake*
        *(With the $50 paid consultation fee)
Cakes for 100-199 servings can choose two flavor combinations per cake
Cakes for 200 + servings can choose three flavor combinations per cake

Please note: if you are planning a bridal cake for 101 people (you get two samples at no charge) but a Groom's cake for 40 people (you get one sample), you will not be charged for the sample or consultation because your Bridal cake met the minimum for a free consultation.

You may choose the flavor combinations that you would like to try for EACH large cake you will need. For example if you are planning to book a Bridal cake for 200 people and a Groom's cake for 120, you would choose three flavor combinations for the Brides cake and two for the Groom's cake. Please look at our website for the full list and descriptions of flavors (click on cake info, then flavors). An example of one sample request is "lemon cake with raspberry filling and kids buttercream icing".

Some Important Notes

• Please be sure to request one sample to be covered in fondant icing if you know that is the look you are considering.
• If you want a 3-D cake for the groom's cake, please request a pound cake (whatever flavor) as one of your samples. Our soft cake does not carve and hold its shape well enough for 3-D cakes.
• A good rule of thumb is to plan the Groom's cake for half the size of the Bridal cake.
• If you need additional samples after our meeting, they will be $12/each · If you need an additional meeting, there may be an additional charge.
• Our serving size is 1"x2"x5" (tall). Most bakeries are 1"x1"x3" (tall)

Deposit
You will have the opportunity to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your date and sign a contract at the end of our meeting. The deposit does count toward the total price of your cakes, no matter their size. If you are still unsure and need more time to think or shop around, we do understand but keep in mind that your date cannot be held without the deposit. We accept cash, personal checks and credit cards.

A Small Request
We have a very small consultation area and would ask that you limit the number of your party to three people (including yourself). Our cake samples are quite large and you will have plenty to take home and share. Also, you will be meeting in our working kitchen so we ask that you please do not bring children to the meeting if at all possible. They don't have the patience to sit through the meeting and working kitchens are not child proof. We need all our attention on making your cake one to remember!

On the Day
On the day of the consultation appointment, please remember the following items:

• A swatch of your wedding colors. This could be ribbon or paper. We will need a small piece for our records.
• Any pictures of cakes that you have found, even if it's just parts of the cake that you like. Please bring a print out, not a web address.
• Any invitations or other items that will help to show us the theme of your event.
• Pictures, or close ups of your dress if we are going to replicate any part of it.
