Fondant Icing is a prepared icing that is rolled out and enrobes the cake, creating a very smooth finish.  This is often used for outdoor weddings.  It can be tinted into any desired color and may also be shaped into garnishes, decorations, or characters for your cake.  White fondant can be described as tasting like marshmallows, while chocolate fondant tastes like a tootsie roll.
